Titanic Press Release
Celebrate the Holidays at the Titanic Museum Attraction!
As the holiday season unfolds, the spirit of Christmas arrives at the Titanic Museum Attraction in Branson, Missouri. The captain and crew invite guests to an experience like no other – filled with timeless beauty, festive splendor and heartfelt tributes to the passengers and crew of the RMS Titanic.
“The Titanic Museum Attraction ushers in the holiday season with a touch of holiday charm both inside and out,” said Sean Skehan, General Manager. “This year, the museum transforms into a festive wonderland with glittering lights, nostalgic holiday sounds and decorations that capture the essence of Christmas. Visitors are invited to share the holiday spirit with the Titanic crew while marveling at the enchanting holiday displays. Guests can pay tribute to their assigned passenger with a heartfelt ornament that will hang on a special tree inside the museum.”
As part of a touching tribute to the youngest passengers aboard the Titanic, this year’s holiday theme features a delightful collection of teddy bears, each bearing the name of a child who sailed on the legendary ship. Lovingly placed among the museum’s glittering Christmas trees, these bears serve as gentle reminders of the children’s stories, infusing the holiday atmosphere with both warmth and reflection.
Visitors can purchase the special bears in the gift shop as a way to commemorate their holiday visit to the Titanic Museum, as well as the children who sailed the infamous British ocean liner.
Guests also are welcome to play a 1900s piano and walk an exact replica of the Grand Staircase, all while being immersed in the spirit of the season.
“Every day, the lives of the men, women, and especially the 135 children who sailed on RMS Titanic’s maiden voyage in 1912 are honored and remembered by our crew. During the special holiday season, those that make the Titanic Museum Attraction part of their holiday plans while in Branson will be able to experience what it was like to be aboard this great ship and how it might have looked had there been a Christmas voyage in 1912,” Skehan said.
This special exhibit runs from November through December 31, offering an unforgettable blend of holiday spirit and historical reverence.
Titanic Museums Honor The 135 children On Titanic
Children of the RMS Titanic
A World Exclusive Starting March 2023
“There were 135 children on board Titanic, with ages ranging from 9 weeks to 15 years, each with a story to tell. This is our mission for 2023, to shine a light on their young lives, to speak their names, and to honor their legacy. The iconic image of the children’s shoes serves to capture the spirit of this major event and prepare our guests for a powerful new look into Titanic’s final days though the eyes of children,” Kellogg-Joslyn says.
Life begins with baby steps, innocents at sea,
each pair of shoes were on a path lined with
Hope, Courage & Resilience.
Titanic Museum Attractions Give Back
Titanic Museum Attractions Give Back Through Two-Year Partnership with Samaritan’s Feet International
In 2023, Titanic Museum Attractions will honor the children aboard the Titanic through “The Year of the Titanic Children” campaign, in which one element are children’s shoes on display. And with this special campaign, the Titanic Museums also wanted to find a way to give back to children in the communities which have supported them throughout the years.
Titanic Museum Attractions has partnered with Samaritan’s Feet to provide new shoes to children throughout Tennessee and Missouri, the home states of the two Titanic Museum Attractions. This partnership will help provide thousands of pairs of shoes, all helping fulfill the goal of Samaritan’s Feet of serving its 10 millionth person this year.
Mary Kellogg-Joslyn, President/COO and Co-Owner of the Titanic Museum Attractions, said “as we dedicate our Titanic Museum Attractions to the 135 innocent children aboard the RMS Titanic, Samaritan’s Feet International allows us to dedicate our museums to the children of today.”
