Titanic Collector Tony Probst Brings World-Ranked Collection to Branson for Exclusive Visit.

As we mark 113 years since the RMS Titanic was lost on April 15, 1912, the Titanic Museum Attraction in Branson, Missouri is honored to welcome back one of our most dedicated and long-standing collectors, Tony Probst, for a special visit during this meaningful week of remembrance.

Mr. Probst is one of our original five collectors, first partnering with us in 2001. His deep passion and commitment to Titanic’s legacy span more than 35 years, and his private collection is recognized among the top 5 in the world. Many of his rare and historic artifacts have been featured in our galleries for nearly 20 years, helping us preserve and share the personal stories of Titanic’s passengers and crew.

This week, Tony Probst returns for the first time since our grand opening in 2006, and we are honored to work with him on several important projects, which will take place April 16–17.

A Historic Interview: Lifeboat Plaques

We’ll be filming an in-depth interview with Mr. Probst about his ownership of the Lifeboat Plaque from Lifeboat #12, a symbolic piece of Titanichistory. He previously owned the only other known plaque from that same lifeboat, which now belongs to musician and collector Rick Springfield. Both plaques are currently on display as a featured part of the museum’s new world-exclusive Life Jacket display, bringing together 5 of the 14 known life jackets left to exist from the RMS Titanic. This powerful collection offers guests an emotional opportunity to connect with real-life stories of survival and remembrance from the night Titanic was lost.

An Exclusive Display: Rare Titanic China Collection

Mr. Probst also owns the largest known collection of Spode-designed China believed to have been originally made for Titanic in 1911. This striking set features Cobalt Blue and Gilt with the OSNC emblem at the center, a design so rare it was later featured on the Olympic, which is Titanic’s sister ship. During his visit, we will be documenting this complete collection in photograph, a truly unprecedented opportunity.

A Special Week of Reflection

Tony’s visit to the Titanic Museum Attraction in Branson, MO coincides with Titanic Remembrance Week, and we know his presence and contributions will add a meaningful layer to this commemorative time. These special events will be open to the public and we encourage all to join us as we pay tribute to the RMS Titanic, her passengers and crew during this special time.

Titanic Museums Honor The 135 children On Titanic

Children of the RMS Titanic
A World Exclusive Starting March 2023

“There were 135 children on board Titanic, with ages ranging from 9 weeks to 15 years, each with a story to tell. This is our mission for 2023, to shine a light on their young lives, to speak their names, and to honor their legacy. The iconic image of the children’s shoes serves to capture the spirit of this major event and prepare our guests for a powerful new look into Titanic’s final days though the eyes of children,” Kellogg-Joslyn says.

Life begins with baby steps, innocents at sea,
each pair of shoes were on a path lined with
Hope, Courage & Resilience.

Titanic Museum Attractions Give Back

Titanic Museum Attractions Give Back Through Two-Year Partnership with Samaritan’s Feet International
In 2023, Titanic Museum Attractions will honor the children aboard the Titanic through “The Year of the Titanic Children” campaign, in which one element are children’s shoes on display. And with this special campaign, the Titanic Museums also wanted to find a way to give back to children in the communities which have supported them throughout the years.

Titanic Museum Attractions has partnered with Samaritan’s Feet to provide new shoes to children throughout Tennessee and Missouri, the home states of the two Titanic Museum Attractions. This partnership will help provide thousands of pairs of shoes, all helping fulfill the goal of Samaritan’s Feet of serving its 10 millionth person this year.

Mary Kellogg-Joslyn, President/COO and Co-Owner of the Titanic Museum Attractions, said “as we dedicate our Titanic Museum Attractions to the 135 innocent children aboard the RMS Titanic, Samaritan’s Feet International allows us to dedicate our museums to the children of today.”
